Introduction
The Living Word Ministries International embarked on yet another blessed journey to DOA. DOA is a Malawian Village inside Mozambique on the boarder of the two countries, about 30 kilometers from the Malawian boarder gate. DOA Outreach comprises of 7centres in 7 villages, the centers have a few churches affiliated to them.
Mission work
The program was divided into 4 parts and lasted 8 days: teaching, feeding schemes, maize distribution and donation of goods. The following centers were visited; Salima, Zimba, Malemia, DOA, Ntofo, Nchacha and Lampiao.

All the centers were visited and Pastor Shikwambana preached in all of them. A list with prayer requests was used to pray for specific areas of the ministry and mission work. The sick were also prayed for.
All centers received two bags of maize meal and a goat. After each service, the people prepared the food and there was a feast to celebrate the good work that God is doing in that area. The total was 14 bags of maize meal and seven goats.
Members of the different churches in the 7 centers each received 10 kilograms of maize. This was done to give people something to eat at home and to plant in their fields. There fields were bare and looked very dry because it had not rained in a long time but a miracle happened on the day we left. One of the prayer requests was that God should bring them rain as it is very dry and they needed to work in the fields, an hour after praying just as we were leaving it started to rain. It was deemed a good idea to give them maize packets so that they can start to feed themselves.
At the end of the last day which was the day for festivities, our hearts were very heavy and it was hard to say goodbye. We were comforted by the fact that we would one day return by the grace of God and that we will see the people’s live take a turn for the good as God keeps on doing His good work. It was a very humbling experience to see people living in such conditions with close to nothing and their only hope being God. It teaches us many lessons in life especially the lesson of loving and giving, in such conditions one realizes that indeed we all are justified by the grace of God so that no one can boast.
God blessed the trip with R40 000. The amount was spent on fuel, food, maize for DOA people, goats and sugar. The maize, the goats and the sugar was all bought from the local people to try and uplift their businesses.
The living word ministries director deposited the money to assist us while we were there at DOA that is why we managed to buy 50 bags maize to contribute.
We were already used the money which was meant for fuel to return home after outreach.
I would like to extend the word of appreciation to direct Louis Moore and to all the donors. The money made a big difference to the people of DOA.
We are still praying for some more donations because the people over there depend on the rain which means without good rain they will be still in crisis of famine.
Pray that God helps them by rain for now it is raining season. They will need support until end of June –July next year.
